Full view please, it looks better like that ^^

w00t, Blaze the Cat fanart :D I sketched this last night after 100% completing the amazing Sonic Rush. I like Blaze's character a lot, she has a cool design and her personality and background make for an interesting story in the Sonic Rush game. I just HAD to draw her ^_^

I'm so proud of this; about 6 hours of work in Flash after my initial sketch (which took... 5 minutes? Not much more than that). I didn't actually use any reference pictures when I drew this; they take part of the fun away from doing fan-art IMO ^^; BUT, I checked it against original artwork and it was pretty accurate, except for the bits around the top of the gloves and shoes which needed a -tiny- bit of tweaking before I set to work on the colouring. Which turned out OK, I think - kinda like Sonic X style. I was aiming to get the colouring style similar because I like that style a lot.

Enjoy! And please tell me what you think of this; all comments, regardless of how long or short you choose to make them, are very welcome ^_^

Ahh, I knew t'was only a matter of time before we saw some fan pics of Blaze! Needless to say, this looks like it came out very well! I like it! Very nice job. Keep up the good work!

I must say Blaze came out great in this. I agree with you about her design. Nicely done with her pose and expression. CGing, lineart, and shading are all great. The background is nice and simple too. The white outline around was a neat addition as well. You certainly did a great job on this. I'm going to fave this.

Looks great! Cool that you were able to draw out something this nice without really using any reference pictures. You really do the new school Sonic style very well; this looks like it came straight from the creator's desk. The coloring and shading, as well as the pose, look great, and that classic Sonic stripe background adds the final touch to it. I'm really glad that they decided to make one of the good guys a cat this time (seeing's how they're my favorite non-mythical animals next to wolves). But, Blaze looks more like a hedgehog or something to me than a cat. Her character design is great and all, but to me, she doesn't resemble a cat, but that's just me.
